Most of the sloths are kept in “Sloth Gardens”, which are areas that imitate the natural habitat of these gentle animals. In this animal rescue center you could also observe other wild species of Costa Rica that they help to later release in the wild, such as monkeys, toucans, kinkajous, coatis, parrots, scarlet macaws, among others.

After your sloths experience, explore the folkloric town of Sarchi, where you will have the opportunity to visit its central park, home of the Guinness Records’ biggest oxcart in the world. At Sarchi you will also visit the typical oxcarts factory, where you will learn the detailed process of making this vehicles and the amazing skill needed to paint the beautiful oxcarts. Souvenir shopping can be done here at their large souvenir shop, one of the biggest in the country.

Following you will visit the typical town of Grecia, where you will observe its iconic and unique metal church, located in the Central Park of this beautiful town. After this visit you will be taken back to your San Jose area hotel.
