About Manuel Antonio National Park
Manuel Antonio National Park is located in the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, a very beautiful rainforest area with a great contrast of white sand beaches and the intense greenery of the tropical vegetation. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the 3 main touristic attractions in Costa Rica due to its intense beauty; this place has being rated as one of the 10 most beautiful in the world, definitely a place not to be missed during a Trip to Costa Rica.
The Manuel Antonio National Park is also one of the most visited in our country, where finding lots of wildlife is not a difficult task. The trails of this park are full with wild animals, such as white faced capuchin monkeys and sloths being the most common; there are also howler monkeys, iguanas, toucans, caimans, agoutis, lots of tropical bird species and the cutest mammal of Costa Ria: the squirrel monkey.
The main town in this region is called “Quepos”, a small Costa Rican Coastal Town that used to be dedicated to fishing, but is now more driven to touristic activities. As a matter of fact, many of the local fishermen are now the captains and mates of the several sport fishing boats that can be found in the Quepos Marina, these former commercial fishermen really know where to go to find the fish.
Lots of tourists visit this region on a consistent basis because of the intense beauty of its beaches and because the Manuel Antonio National Park area has everything that a tourist can need: lots of hotels with different price ranges, restaurants with local and international food, bars, cafes, shops, grocery stores and lots of activities to choose from, in land or in the ocean.
